Pipe Lining Rehabilitation

APRO-LINING, internal cleaning and coating system, complies with rigid specifications. APRO-LINING is approximately 25 years of proven technology and provides the most sophisticated and recent technology.

Nowadays, managing of liquid pipelines becomes more and more hostile and is in extremely sensitive environments with strict new governmental regulations. Pipeline maintenance and inspection have now become more critical than ever. New production techniques and other enhanced recovery procedures include chemicals, salt water and fresh water that accelerate naturally occurring corrosion. Due to these demanding conditions, Asia Protech has developed the capability to in-situ cleaning and coating for almost any pipelines of several kilometers in length. Pipelines in oil refineries, petro-chemical, chemical, oil, gas and water industry can be in-situ cleaned and coated at considerable cost savings versus pipeline replacement. Other applications, including industrial and municipal water lines, and utility piping can also be in-situ cleaned and coated. Asia Protech’s APRO-LINING system can be the best alternative to other rehabilitation methods for steel water lines.

ADVANTAGES OF APRO-CLEANING AND LINING

APRO-CLEANING and LINING is not only a viable and cost-effective solution to maintaining the integrity of pipelines, but many additional benefits are derived.

  • Increased pipeline flow
  • Reduced energy costs
  • Reduced use of inhibitors
  • Reduced maintenance
  • Reduced pig runs and wear
  • Clean product delivery
  • Increased pipeline life and rapid return on investment

LINING TECHNOLOGY AND MATERIAL

Epoxy Lining (SEPOXY® LINING) – Material : Epoxy resin (Primer : Steel-Seal, Top : Epoxy)

Vinylester LINING (AVE® LINING) – Material : Vinylester resin (Primer : Steel-Seal, Top : Vinylester)

LINING PROCESS

Every pipeline is unique and APRO-LINING process provides various solution to varying wall thickness, valves, bends, and profiles, in on-shore pipelines. For these reasons, every coating application is carefully planned and implemented on an individual case basis.

APRO-LINING LAYOUT

The coating material, epoxy or vinyl-ester resin is loaded between two specially designed pigs. Using a pre-determined driving pressure, the correct velocity is maintained to provide a controlled film thickness. Usual specifications would require a minimum of three coating runs, with the coating train driven by completely dry and particulate free compressed air. After each coating run, the same compressed air continues to slightly blow through the pipeline to ensure total evacuation of the released solvents and aid in drying between coats. The pot life of the coating is such to allow more than a reasonable time to perform the coating operation.
