ATCS (Automatic On-Load Tube Cleaning System)

Though various efforts for improvement of air-conditioning system to increase energy saving rate, progressive formation of fouling inside tubes starting form the moment of the installation of heat exchange equipment cannot be voided. No matter how the function of the equipment and the quality of the cooling water of tube side fluid are good, the fouling always occurs and the result causes energy loss to the maximum of 25%.
Our two ATCS system, brush and ball system provide with the best solution to above problem.

Features of Brush Type ATCS

  • Doesn’t need the conventional tube cleaning required periodically.
  • As cleaning work for 6∼10 years from the installation of ATCS, maintenance expense, maintenance time, labour cost and other management cost are not required or are saved considerably.
  • Production efficiency is greatly improved as shut-down for cleaning is not necessary.

Cleaning cycle
before actuation

Brushes are waiting in catch baskets at ends of the condenser tubes

Cleaning cycle
starts by timer

Actuator of the flow diverter valve works by signal from control panel a diverts water flow to the reverse direction.

The first
cleaning process

By reverse of flow, brushes pass through the tubes cleaning tubes.

Waiting the next
cleaning cycle

Brushes stand-by until the next setting time. Generally, standard cycle time is eight hours.

The second
cleaning process

The flow diverter automatically returns to the normal flow position by signal from control panel and the brushes return to the catch baskets undertaking the second cleaning process.

Keep the reverse position
for 20 to 30 seconds

Brushes held by the baskets at the opposite ends of the tubes wait for about 20 seconds
