APRO-ILI INSPECTION
Summary
- Accurate sizing and evaluation of various metal loss features like corrosion, mill defects, laminations, cracks on pipe body.
- Sizing of pipeline geometric indications, dents, ovalities, bend radii etc.
- Definition pipeline features such as casing, taps, stopples etc.
- Location of pipeline features
- Evaluation of existing corrosion protection methods such as cathodic protection, DCVG etc.
- Production of as-built pipeline drawing
TYPE OF INTELLIGENT (SMART) PIG
1. Geometry Survey Tool

GEOMETRY TOOL
Used for survey of geometric integrity of pipelines and position location of bends and their bend radius
Survey items
- Deformation of pipeline
- Position of bend and its radius
- Verification running before running corrosion tool
- Production of pipeline map
2. Corrosion / Metal Loss Survey Tool
- Deformation of pipeline
- Sizing depth, width and length of corrosion
- Pipeline mapping with INS module
- Longitudinal and circumferential position of corrosion pits
- Position of girth welds
2-1. ULTRASONIC TOOL (UT TOOL)
FREE SWIMMING TYPE
- Detection of pipeline defects like corrosion, crack, lamination etc.
- Heavy wall measurement up to 60mm wall thickness
- Precision measurement accuracy
- Metal loss and Crack detection on long-seam and on girth weld
- Tool sizes from 6″ up to 56″ and negotiation with 1.5D bends radii

UT TOOL
UMBILICAL TYPE

- UT TOOL SENSOR ARRAY On-line data monitoring Bi-directional designed tool body
- Applicable to very thin or heavy wall pipelines
- Sizes from 4″ up to 48″, suitable for relatively short and unpiggable pipelines, Applicable to heater furnace tubes
- Pass 1.5D bends, no limitation with number of bands
- Negotiate back to back and mitered bends Glass optic fiber data transfer cable
- Good for loading/unloading pipelines in tank farms
2-2. MFL TOOL (MAGNETIC FLUX LEAKAGE TOOL)
For accurate detection of corrosion pits, the most advanced magnetic flux
leakage (MFL) method is adopted using electromagnetic to keep constant
and uniform magnet flux all over the inspection section of pipeline.
The LINALOG tool is composed of 3∼7 sections connected with universal joints that enable the tools to negotiate 1.5∼3D bends
- Mounting INS module for production of pipeline mapping and deformation sensors on MFL tool for combo configuration is possible
- Sizes from 3” up to 48” (over 50” on request)
- Universal joint connection enabling negotiation of 1.5D bends
- Applicable to both of gas and liquid pipelines
- Configuration of MFL tool
